Easter Fun out with Friends looking for some colored eggs! Nothing like some fun around the long holiday weekend. A good time outdoors chasing eggs was a lot of fun for the kids…
When we checked in with Ezra’s cardiologist he was still quite surprised that we had not seen any side effects from his surgery at birth. He asked that we schedule a CT scan for Ezra to make sure that things were are going well. So we made the appointment and got Ezra’s heart and neck scanned and everything came back great. He was a little woozy after the anesthesia but the doctor said that everything was great and there was nothing to be worried about. We know God is doing great things in Ezra’s life, and this is just another sign of that.
The time had come and Tirzah is off to preschool! No qualms about leaving mom, she hopped right into the carpool van and off she went. Another missionary mom is doing the preschool from her home and she had room for Tirzah. Thanks for praying for potty training we have seen a lot of successes and a few accidents but she is figuring out things pretty well. She often gets to paint and loves to play on the nearby play ground. She is loving it!
It has been a while since Ezra has had his heart checked, so we went to go see his cardiologist here in the Philippines, Dr. Chang. We had some great news that Ezra has had no symptons which might lead us to think that he needs surgery. Usually by this time kids would have potentially had several surgeries to open the scar tissue in his aorta. Dr. Chang said his blood pressure is fine and he even took him off the blood pressure medicine. He even used to word miracle which is what we know God has already done in Ezra’s life. We are going to schedule a ct scan of his heart and neck to get a better picture of what is happening, but we thank God for all that he is doing in Ezra’s life!
After a busy first quarter at Faith Academy, we got to sneak away for a few days at the beach. It was full of fun because we got to go with a couple of friends and their families. The kids loved playing on the beach with their friends. Ezra loves to jump in the waves and Tirzah had a lot of fun building some sand castles. We thank God for a few days away from the city. here is our view from the beach:
We got to take the kids to go and see Singing in the Rain! What was cool was that they had real rain on stage! It was very cool to watch from a theater perspective. It was neat to see the various elements from the movie get incorporated into the show. It made me (jason) get excited to work on the shows we doing this semester at Faith. Sitting next to the kids, it was a fun to hear them sing along to the songs that they knew. We had seats near the top but it was a great night and a good experience to for the kids.
