Time Away From the City

jason Family

Just before school starts we got to sneak away to Darnak Falls.  It is only an hour from our house and quite beautiful.  Our family and a couple of other WorldVenture missionaries got away to enjoy God’s beauty in the Philippines before we jump in head first to the school year.  The kids were not as excited about playing in the waterfalls as mom and dad were but Ezra warmed up to it by the end of the trip.  We praise God for opportunities like this to refresh our soul in the midst of our ministry.

Back to the Other Side of the World!

We are back in the Philippines again!  God was with us as we traveled, we got through security and customs with no problems.  The kids were amazing and did really well on the flights. God even blessed us with a hotel room for a few hours so we could sleep through Emirates, the airline we flew with. After 30 hours we are tired but excited to be home in the Philippines.  Thanks for all your prayers as we flew.

Can I take this to the Philippines, daddy?

The boxes have taken over again.  We are in the midst of packing things up and getting ready to move out of our home that we have been in for almost a year.  The kids are beginning to understand that we will be leaving our good friends in Chicago behind.  It is has been to think to the future as we anticipate returning to the Philippines over the summer.  Pray that Sarah and I will be able to shepherd our kids well during this time

A Visit From Grandma

jason Family

We have had a lot of fun this last week as Grandma Sandy came up to stay with us for the week.  Grandma came up for a week of fun, including a trip to the zoo, Ezra’s birthday and even a trip to china town.  Even though it was a busy week it was a great week because in the upcoming years we won’t get to see her as much.   We have several significant times with family coming up over the next few weeks and we are looking forward to them.  We praise and thank God for surrounding us with a Godly family.

Museum of Science and Industry

What do you do when you sick of the indoors and the snow seems like it will never go away?  Go to the museum of Science and Industry with your best friends from the Philippines!  It was an exciting day looking at the submarine, seeing the space exhibit and learning all about our body.  It was a great day of fun and learning.  Plus we got to catch up with Kim and Daniel Ables which was a great bonus! Enjoy the Photos
