We jumped in to play season with both feet this year getting ready for Crazy for You. Early in the tech rehearsals, I discovered that my tech team had several interpersonal issues to work through. Two of the guys had some personal issues that had turned into a little animosity between them. They were hoping that they could work around each other and hopefully it won’t be an issue, but it was pretty obvious in their conversation and behavior that this was something that would affect the people around them. Seeing the chance to speak some truth, I challenged them to either reconcile with each other or put the past in the past and not let what happened affect their relationship anymore.
upon another and in turn uses that inter-dependance to
unite people from different parts of the globe
I challenged them to see how this broken relationship was affecting all the other relationships around them including their relationship with God. They stepped up to the challenge and through the 3 weeks of intense practice I saw how their interactions with each other changed from animosity to a mutual respect that translated into strong team work. I am sure it was not an easy task for them but they both rose to the challenge and did a fantastic job collaborating together. It is cool to see how our God takes our weakness; changes that into dependence upon another and in turn uses that dependance to form a bonding agent that unites even people from different parts of the globe. Truly that is where His Glory lies, because where we are weak he is strong.
ps I am really proud of my stagecraft class who built the fantastic set for the play
